Pets Best Insurance Services, LLC is a leading U.S. pet insurance agency for dogs and cats based in Boise, Idaho. Pets Best was started in 2005 and offers pet insurance in all 50 states and D.C. Pet insurance reimburses clients on their veterinary bills when their pet is sick or injured, to help take the financial worry out of vet visits. Veterinarian Dr. Jack L. Stephens, founder of Pets Best, launched the pet insurance industry in the U.S. in the early 1980s with his first company. Dr. Stephen’s mission was to end euthanasia when pet owners couldn't afford veterinary treatment. Dr. Stephens went on to present the first U.S. pet insurance policy to famous television dog Lassie in 1982.
